    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. I have a dual layer burner, and some dual layer discs - they're +R, so I don't want to experiment *too* much here . . . they're sort of new tech where I am, and cost about $6 each.

I'm looking at Toast 7 titanium, which does single layer burning really well, but it doesn't seem to know what dual layer discs are - it's insisting on compressing a 5gb movie, whereas finder reports (correctly, I believe) that the disc has 7.96gb free.

So. I guess T7t doesn't do dual layer. Any idea what does?

Thanks.

In Toast Titanium 7 there is an option for dual layer. If I remember correctly, at the bottom near the red there should be either CD or DVD with a down arrow. If you click on that you will get a drop down menu with CD, DVD and DVD DL.

I thought I recently saw it mentioned that Toast currently has a bug that does NOT allow writing dual layer disks.

Hmm. I didn't try it last night. I'll do it tonight and report back.
