I have a MacBook Pro in my shopping cart, and I also added AppleCare. AppleCare is $239. When I first looked into getting a Mac a couple of months ago, I remember seeing a price around $300. Is $239 the normal price? Does it matter if I purchase it now or later?

You can buy it anytime within the 1st year of owning your computer, so if you dont buy it now you have a year to get it before you are ineligible. If you are buying with the education discount it still applies, you can get it for the discounted price within the first year.

So you dont have to buy it right now if you dont want to, the price will not go up if you decided to wait and get it later. If you have the money and can, I would just go ahead and get it now and not hassle with it later.
