Do Intel Based Mac can install and run the old PPC Software native?

I am wonder do the new Intel Based MacBook that can native build-in install and run the old for PPC software?

If yes, need any addition step to do?

i think i can understand that...

yeah, they will work. Intel Macs come with a hidden program called Rosetta which means that if you open up a PPC app, it will run fine. There are some snags, like no Java and no G5, but it will work most of the time.

It is mean if this software have the "for Mac OS X" Logo than can run under the Intel Based MAC, right?

But, it it is for PPC, do it will meet the performance drop down?

If it says "For Mac OSX" then you are good to go!

Yes there will be a slight performance drop when running a PPC app on an intel machine since it has to convert the code from PPC to code the intel processor understands.

Slight is subjective. Some people say PPC apps take so much processing speed, they can only run one or two at once without killing performance.
