I have to say it: I am scared of clowns. Something about them just creeps me out about them. Anybody else fear clowns?

Nope, but I know a surprising number of people who are. It's irrational, but so are most other fears. I have a fear of drowning. I love to swim, but drowning scares the crud out of me. Go figure.

A friend of mine runs an internet business selling all sorts of odd crap. Two of the funniest items are a button and t-shirt that say: "Can't Sleep. Clowns will eat me."

I just don't understand how one could fear a clown.

They're happy, smilie and nice, and they're not out to hurt anyone, just make the day nicer!

I think some movies have turned people against them.

I had a teacher that was so afraid of them that, when at Hershey Park, she couldn't even look at the giant Kisses and Reeses things running around.
