I find it a bit strange that you're ragging on a PC when your MAC is out for repairs.

Good luck, though.

My PC is out of warranty I can FIX my pc myself, I crack the seal on my Mac and the warranty goes bye bye.

My pc is just ishy, its no fun to use, its squat, ugly and error prone, all that was verifiably wrong with my Mac, apart form some disturbingly high temps playing Second Life "thanks Intel" is the infamous "sinking power switch" I should have just fixed it myself. If its not done by tomorrow I'm going to get it back and just live with the power switch.

I know what you mean. I forgot to bring my Mac to work with me yesterday (as I normally do). My best advice would be to download and boot from a Linux live CD. You might have to use a PC, but at least it doesn't have to be Windows ;)

I'm on my PC waiting for the macbook to come back from service, so I hear you.

I'm not complaining about my PC, I'm pretty sure that this computer has had less problems in its life than my Mac, come to think of it. You can't just "build" your own mac though. I'm in it for the OS.

Oh my gosh, I hadn't thought about carob in YEARS! ;P

An unused computer is unlikely to break.

What are you doing to the Mac's?

How can you mention 'Repair' and 'Mac' in the same sentience:[

I'm glad I haven't had to send either of my Mac's in for repair - it's bad enough to have to use PC's at work!

The power Button was slowly sinking into the case, i have a soft touch, so I have no idea why. But that was pretty much it.
