using a 4 button mouse...

I'm on day 2 of using a new mbp.. trying desperately to get used to everything. I guess it's going well.

Right now I'm using my old microsoft explorer mouse (wired) which has 4 buttons plus a wheel. The left, right, and wheel buttons work, but two thumb ones don't.. How do I get them clicking correctly?

go to your mouses website, and see if they offer drivers for all the buttons. I had to do this with my logitech mouse.

There are Mac drivers for MS Mice. I am using a trackball Mouse from MS right now. Go to MS's Mac site and grab the drivers, it will allow you to use all the buttons as you choose.

MS is the biggest Mac software developer outside of Apple. Since the advent of USB, they have been making much of their hardware, particularly Keyboards and Mice, Mac compatible.
