A co-worker of mine who doesn't like Macs showed it to me this morning and I was laughing my Head off, as Microsoft came only at #5. It was a glorious Moment for Apple.
On the other Hand General Electric (Thats where I work, Healthcare if wonder) ranked at #6, which isn't all that fair but oh well.
i'm at corp in server support. and the bby stores i usually go to are all within about 10-15 miles of the corp building. one is pretty much right in the shadow of the corporate monstrosity.
it was pretty cool though, a few years back i was at a store in central jersey and asked to talk to a manager to see if my father could use my discount (before i was outsourced) after i'd left to purchase a digital camera. everyone was extremely nice and accomodating when i told them i was from corporate in mn; despite the fact that i'm basically a peon.
Hmm. Jersey... I worked in two different stores in my life, one being here in NJ and one being down in VA near school. I left the NJ store after a month of working there, I couldn't stand half of the people. I guess that I should have told them that I was a suit from MN, hmm?
luckily, though i'm technically "corp" personnel, i work at a datacenter in a nearby location. even on days the dresscode is super relaxed. we were all up in arms a few years back when they started to enforce the no hats and no shorts during business hours rule. ;P
