I just ordered a 15" MacBook Pro (using my old iBook g5 right now)... the MacBook I'm getting will be running on Tiger and I'm wondering how much it's going to cost to upgrade to Leopard, and if it's even going to be possible. Should I have waited? Is there a significant student discount?

Also, does anyone know of a freeeee non-trial photo program similar to photoshop but more user friendly? I'd love one that offers annimation.. so I can make .gif images that move.

Thanks :)

Thanks so much, I'll have to check those out. Is that what you used to create your little avatar? Neat!

I found this avatar a few days after the whole Zidane incident, so I don't know how it was created

The current student discount price for Tiger is at $69. I believe that Leopard, will be in the same area.
