I found this excellent article today (for those of you using Comcast DVR).
There's a few shows that I like to keep permanent copies of, including SciFi's Battlestar Gallactica. Until now, I had no way of doing that. But apparently the FCC mandates that Comcast (and other cable companies) must make the box accessible through Firewire - and as I understand it, most of the Comcast DVR boxes have a firewire port.
So for those of you interested, I figured I'd share the link. Yet another reason I'm glad I bought a Mac!
