• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

So I am currently producing a horror film trailer as part of my school coursework and I am in the stages of editing the footage.

I am using Imovie but the thing is I am looking for some horror film like music to go with the footage however whilst searching the internet all I can find are pay sites to get such stuff. I have looked on torrent sites too with no such luck.

Do any Mac users know of anywhere on the internet that I could get such sound/ music free of charge.

Any sugegstions would be much appreciated.

I don't know of any specifically, but try searching the forums for stock footage. Most will point to video and images, but some may have sound. You could also try and strip the sound out of existing footage you have access to.

Or you could work something up in GarageBand.
