PowerBook G4, 1.5ghz, 512Mb RAM, 60gig HDD, DVD/CDR, OS 10.4.8
Just discovered that I can import vids from my phone into iMovie (GET IN!). I can't seem to make head nor tail of the program, however.

Are there any decent tutorials online or in cheap book format that'll help me?

Also; how much of a part does RAM play in the running of the program? I've got a 1.5ghz G4 powerbook (god, how old does that sound now?!) with 512mb RAM. Would upgrading to a 1.2gig of ram help the cause?
