I'm attempting to use iCalendar but it continues to tell me "you cannot change events or to do in a read-only calendar."

What's the scoop?

Is there a better calendar program than this? I'm so used to using Outlook with the calendar built into it....

Suggestions welcome!

Thanks

In iCal, you get as many calendars as you want. Some of them can be read-only (especially, other peoples' calendars which you "subscribe" to.)

So you can't, say, change an entry in the US Holidays calendar, because that takes an Act of Congress.

Make sure you have one of your own calendars selected before you try to change something.

OK, looks like I'm going to have to get a manual... lol. :) Appreciate the input (I figured that out but didn't know what I did, lol). I saw you can "subscribe" to like steelers calendar? where do you look that subscriptions up? Sorry for being so naive.... I've only had a mac now for about a week.... So far, enjoying it but it's a hard getting used to after all these years using a pc. SO much to learn. I hate that you can't simply create shortcuts to things (alias and all that goes into creating one): I've been trying to organize my apps into a tidy (yes, I'm anal as heck) folder but.... Anyway, going to play.
