This thread is for questions, concerns, or just plain adoration for the hard working staff here at Mac-Forums :) Oh and we can't forget all the wonderful deals that we hope to have in the coming months.

To start out with.. this month.. the month of April 2004,

ScriptSoftware.com (http://www.scriptsoftware.com) is offering 25% off of their products to Mac-Forum users.

Just PM myself, Murlyn (http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&userid=184) or Muso (http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&userid=40), by clicking on our names to the left, so that we know you are a user, and we will send you the coupon code.

Cheers!

Any reason why this hasnt been as popular as we thought? Would love to hear some feedback. Plus some feedback on other pieces of software that we could offer discounts on in the following months.. Thanks!

I browsed through a bit today, there sure is some interesting sofware on the site, and I'm keeping an eye on this month. Maybe something will jump out and catch my attention soon as I use iPhoto more and things like that ;)

IMHO Software is limited. Basically, I don't wanna pay for some software which I will never use (even at a 25% discount!)
I'm keeping an eye on this thread tho, keep 'em offers coming :D

I'm keeping my eye on it..just can't afford to buy anything yet...after my iPod...my funds have been quite slim....I have to eat..so software has to wait.

Well I definitely wouldnt want anyone to go hungry because they bought some software :) Well at the end of this month we hope to have another deal for you guys, but at this point we might not be able to get too many deals since we're really not giving them any incentive due to the lack of well.. activity I guess you could say, but we will definitely try, but the stats are not looking good. We hope it's just speed bumps at this point :)

I can see the problem at least on my end. I looked at what is available and there is nothing I need. If this is true for everyone. That can be a problem. Hopefully the next one will have somethings. :D

I would love to hear ideas of what companies/products you would like to get deals on? Also if you have software ideas that you can't seem to find a decent piece of software that does what you want it to.. I'd like to hear those also.

Pinball would be nice. :)

I've been trying to find a decent version of pinball to play on Ian Iachimoe for a while, but I haven't found one yet.

I would, of course, play it after my homework is done. ;)

Do you mean USB Overdrive? If not, where is the site hosted?

yes...i want a media player.

a good media player

a media player that is updated often

a media player that will play EVERY video file extention to date... if they want, i will compile them a list! lol

if they can make a video player that is NICE LOOKING with GOOD functions, yet CLEAN and SIMPLE looking, and able to play ALL media types i will PAY my LIFE!

lol sorry... i got a bit out of hand... but you get my point! :)

get their butts makin a video player that looks like quicktime or something, but plays all types of video formats

What do you guys think of GarageBand loops as a special?

Strider

I'm pretty sure u get loads of loops for free

edit:
Besides, do u really think this "offers for members" idea is that important? Don't worry about it :)

Well so far I havent been able to convice any of the businesses to give you guys any deals, due to the lack of activity in that area. ScriptSoftware has been nice enough to extend the 25% off of their software until June 1st, but probably after June we will stop the specials.

I don't think enough people use garageband to get a lot of enncentive out of that deal muso. What about smalldog or powermax or some other type of Apple hardware seller?

Take a look at the forum we've set up for this purpose. I'm working on some more deals currently.
