Besides parallels software, what do I need to run windows?

Can someone please point out to me what i need to run windows? Do I need to buy a whole operating system, or just an upgrade disc?

Please respond, with links to what I need! Is there a chance I could have these lying around if I have other windows xp machines?

You need a full retail version of XP. An OEM disk, or upgrade disk will not work.

Actually, an OEM copy will work. But not one taken off of another computer, but something like this would.

Correction, a non-branded OEM disc (like what you would buy if you built your own machine) will work. It's the Dell/HP/Compaq/etc discs that are tied to specific BIOSes that won't work.

I was thinking more along the lines of an OEM restore/install disk.

I know, that's why I mentioned "off of another computer"
