How do I fin out what processor and hard drive the machine has

Well, the title says it all. I am a complete beginner with Macs and I want to know just what is in the box of this G4 before I go out and buy OS X and so forth. I can do this on a PC with no trouble, but how on OS 9?

Click the stripey Apple logo in the top left and choose 'About this computer'.

If you do what Alexis said, you will get a window with a "More Info" button. That opens the System Profiler, which gives you more details about the entire machine. You can also call System Profiler via Spotlight, or go to Applications > Utilities > System Profiler.

We're on OS 9 here though :black:

My computer also has the info listed on the apple sticker on the bottom of my iMac.
