Since we upgraded to vBulletin 3.6, Mac-Forums has begun using the infraction system as a better way to manage behaviors and adherence to our forum rules. The staff has been using the system now for several months and it has been highly successful.
To learn more about the system please see this article:
http://www.vbulletin-faq.com/moderation-infraction.htm
A high-level overview of features:
If you wish to challenge an infraction or warning, please PM a mod or admin or use our Contact Form.
Please use this thread to ask any questions you might have about the system or any feedback you'd like to give.
And before anyone asks, no, we will not post the point values or ban levels.

A high-level overview of features:
- Different infractions are worth different point values and expiration times based on severity.
- Banning happens automatically based on point value. Length of the ban time is based on the number of points.
- You may receive either a "Warning" or "Infraction" based on the mods discretion. A warning carries no points. A "yellow" card is a warning, "red" is an infraction.
- Only you and the moderators are able to see the infraction list in your profile.
- You will receive an automated PM whenever you receive an infraction or warning along with comments from the mod.
