Just got a mac Friday after many years of bashing Mac's, in short I'll never buy another PC again.

My friend told me of this site and I'm looking forward to using it.

I have a similar (perhaps identical) machine and I've been very happy with it for the past 3-4 months. Don't rush to add that third Gig of RAM until you're sure you need it. I run Parallels (which dedicates memory for Windows applications), the Safari web browser, the built-in OS X Mail program, iTunes, MS Word 2004, and MS Excel 2004 simultaneously without any troubles.

Welcome! I really believe that if anyone that bashes Macs would try one out for a decent amount of time with an open mind would not return to a PC. I for one am an example of that.

Enjoy your machine and good luck.

I'm gonna have to agree with you I bashed Macs FOREVER (I had been using PC's for about 15 years) but I finally gave it a shot about 3 weeks ago when it was time to upgrade/scrap yet ANOTHER PC after only about 2 years and I am NEVER going back to PC's I'm completely hooked even though it took me about a week of frustration because when your used to doing everything the hard way it's so easy it actually feels difficult lol, but just yesterday I was at my parents place clearing out virus' and spyware just TWO WEEKS after I had completely cleared out the PC I switched from and giving them what was essentially a "brand new" machine (they only do the absolute basics like email and browsing thats it) and I was so frustrated having to do things the old way and shocked at how much spyware and virus' there were on it after only a few weeks I literally said to them and I quote "This is absolutely ridiculous I hate these stupid things! Why in gods name did I ever waste money on these useless boxes of crap!?" and just couldnt wait to get home to my glorious little wonderbox!

Long live the Mac! lol
