Lucky for me Slash plays in a style I use predominantly style, (NO WAY am I as good as he, though!) which is using the Pentatonic Scale a lot, or to put it in plain terms it's a bluesy scale. This gives me a very slight handicap in at least I sorta understand where he's coming from but trying to keep up with him is a different story!

He's a genius at using the Pentatonic Scale in a completely unique style as is Dave Gilmour from Pink Floyd, who also draws notes from this scale...

Thanks MHC! If it was a GarageBand Face-Off, I wouldn't stand a chance up against you! ;]

you should put it in for good rep. some people dont put it in when they give bad rep because they dont want to be attacked.

Oh you Martin, you! I haven't done anything in GarageBand in over a year. And I really find it cool you play the guitar like this.

Was there a going pro opportunity along the way at some point in time?

Yeah, Semi-Pro ... about 1985. It was an original band and we toured around a bit ... Sydney,Newcastle, Melbourne, Canberra ... it only lasted 6 mths due to band politics getting out of hand ...

Highlights ... arriving at a show and your gear has been set up by someone else! I loved that .... ! I have a vinyl 45 single that was never released from another band .... yeah lottsa stories ... I kept a scrapbook of everything from all the bands I've been in over the years.
