problems w/ itunes and acquisition running simultaneously?

I've had the iMac for about 3 days now, been a PC user all my life, things are going very smoohly except im trying to import a cd into itunes, with acquisition running in the back, and itunes continues to "quit unexpectedly"...could this be that the cd i'm importing is a copy?

does it quit unexpectedly when Acquisition isn't running in the background? iTunes can import copied CDs without a problem, FYI

yes actually ive noticed it will. a couple of my copied cd's, while importing, will shut itunes. one of them was an audio and data cd, i figured that had something to do with it, but then i tried some others that wouldnt go through either.
