ok...my thing is, I'm a pc/apple person...I go both ways basically and transfer files in between.

But why does apple or my mac create a "dot" file (ie: ._.filename) for my original files? I have a removable hard drive and whenever I put files on it from the mac and plug the drive in my pc I see those files. (They mirror the actual file but isn't a real file. it's grayed out but I can still see the files but only on the pc...) Ths isn't a new problem, I just never really cared about it but it's getting annoying.

So I'm also wondering if those files are still on my mac? They also take up space if you have a lot of those "dot" files. my removable is in fat32 format and it gets annoying to have to delete those "dot" files.

Is it a mac thing or something that I have to set my comp to do/don't do?

Just curious to see if anyone else has this problem/issue. And if there is a way to not let it happen.
