....on a windows pc?

I'm doing a few group projects at uni just now, and we need to keep sending files via email to each other. Whilst I can open office documents in iwork, my buddies can't seem to open my iwork files I send to them.

Are they being silly or can I somehow convert the files I send to them?

You will have to export the files to a Windows readable format. Click on File and then Export. You now have the option for RTF, Word, PDF, etc.

Keep in mind that any document with a serious amount of formatting may not export properly to Word. If you need to preserve formatting but don't care about your buddies being able to edit the document, I highly suggest you use PDF.
