removing application

i recently switched from a pc to my MacBook. I was wanting to know what to do when i dont want an application anymore. In a pc you goto Add/Remove program. But what do you do on a Mac?

Just find the application and drag it to the trash... yup its as simple as that :D

it can be a little more complicated than that, but that is the general idea. sometimes apps make other folders or preference files on your machine. it is still exponentially easier to remove a program manually from a mac than it is a windows machine, but there can be a little leg work to do.
