15.4" c2d mbp 2gb ram 120gb hdd
when i shut the lid/screen on my mbp will it go to sleep, stay on or shut down? by default settings

id like for it to go to sleep, when i closed the screen on the mbp at the apple store it shutdown and they guy said it can be changed but i forgot to ask him how

The guy is wrong. Apple notebooks simply go into sleep mode when shut.

splended...

because it seemed like the mbp at the store shut down because the guy pressed buttons on the keyboard and it the mbp didnt resond, he then pressed the power button and it didnt respond so he finally held it down till it restarted
