• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I still have the horrid timeline sound distortion on my two biggest projects, imported clips are still not separated dispite my box ticking and it still can't communicate with my camera and now has ceased communicating or acknowledging my colleagues camera, despite changing firewires.

I think the only thing I can do is completely re-install i-movies and I have a reasonably Apple savvy mate who can do it as soon as I figure out how to uninstall my existing i-movies.

1: How to do it?

2: Will everything on internal HD be ok?

Thanks for any help.

G'day cameronryan.

If your heart's set on this, I would use Spotlight to search for anything with iMovie in the title and delete it. Please be careful not to delete your personal files created using iMovie.

Secondly, I would follow the instructions in the link below. This link is a few years old but I couldn't find anything newer, like for the Intel Macs.
