What are you supposed to be doing instead of/while browsing Mac-Forums?

I've noticed a trend: whenever I am supposed to be doing something involving any type of obligations or productivity I am usually browsing the crap out of Mac-Forums.

For example, I am sitting in the Police Operations class and the notebook Word document that is supposed to be receiving my notes has remained in the background of my Shiira window the entire class :bone:

Last night at 3:30am when I was supposed to be studying I was posting in the "What are you listening to" thread.

When speaking to anyone on the phone, what am I doing? You guessed it.

It's almost as if Mac-Forums has replaced my Facebook habit as there are generally more interesting things to read and more opportunity to help and contribute.

So..... What are you supposed to be doing right now?

I should be fixing PCs right now as I am at work in-between classes :p

The funny thing is we have PC laptops and desktops being fixed all over in here. As for the machines in use by the three of us computer technicians, we have my Macbook, a Macbook Pro, and a school owned Mac Mini.

It kind of tells you something when the Computer Services department personnel all own macs.

I know it's friday, but isn't it a little bit early to be hittin' the beer?

Anyway, I should be going to the bookstore so I can buy a book to do some homework for the class that I am skipping this afternoon. :)

If MC Hammer is actually in FInland, it's not really that early.

I should be doing something productive, I'm sure of it. I could read up on how to make new drinks, I suppose...

Actually I'm letting some ideas simmer in between coding runs. Also, I'm about to shift tasks, so visiting here provides - I'll say - continuity. Maybe it's background stimulation. Sometimes it's better to go off for a few minutes and let an idea cook. When it's ready, it will come out. So yeah, I'm posting and reading occasionally, but usually it's because I need a solution to something and it isn't yet ready. Oh, and I have iTunes running in the background, playing ambient music.

I'm sure there was something I was supposed to be doing but for the moment I can't remember what it was. This forum is addicting but then I'm retired and (if ya all remember) I'm one of those considered to be the "older generation." So guess I can do what I want....and when I want. Within reason of course, plus I still work part-time. Gosh! What is it I'm afraid of missing on Mac-forums???

I always forget this is an international forum. I am used to the forum that I used to frequent where it was just for my local metro. area.

I retract my former statment. BEER ON MC!

Now, instead of sleeping so that I can wake at a reasonable time I am drinking way too much rum and coke. See you in the morning ladies and gents :bone:

SoCo and Coke sounds better, or just Jack Daniels straight. Maybe some Budweiser... well, actually I should be studying because I have 4 exams next week, but oh well.
