I purchased a macbook in October 2006, in Feb 2007, the display cracked. Apple informed my that they did not cover "accidental" damage. The problem is that no one seems to believe me, the crack occurred spontaneously. I did nothing to the machine. I never dropped it, shook it poked the screen or anything else. I am researching this and I don't think I am alone.:radioacti

Did you take it into a store or talk to someone from Tech Support? Either way, I'd be sure to escalate to management and not take a 'Tier 1' response. Then I'd file with the BBB.
