Hi, I'm new to macs and feeling homesick from my PC. There are some programs and such that i need and are mostly executable files. But my problem is that I have a PowerPC powermac G4 quicksilver and I think that most dual boot programs only work on Intel's. I really want to try Parallels because it seems pretty handy that you don't have to restart every time you want to change OS's. Is there any way I can run executable files or to install Parallels on my ppc? Thanks!

In order to run Windows files on a PPC Mac you will need Virtual PC. Parallels and BootCamp only work on Intel Macs.

What programs in particular are you looking to run on your Mac? Perhaps somebody might know of a Mac OS equivalent.

.exe file = Windows EXEcutable file.
.app = Mac APPlication file

They aren't interchangeable on the two systems.
