Keyboard sensitivity?

I'm having an odd problem with my new Powerbook, which is no doubt my fault, but makes me wonder if something can be done with settings to correct it.

I continually miss capitalizations because I'm apparently not holding down the shift key long enough while I type the desired letter. This never happened on my old computer. Do I just need to retrain myself, or is there a way in the clever OS X system to adjust keyboard sensitivity or delay or something? Thanks for any information.

If you go into the System Pref Panel and open "Keyboard amd Mouse, on the right there is "Delay Unitl" setting. Try setting that to Long (to the left more) I had that same problem with my ibooks and it seems to help.
