Hi,

I have a picture that I would like as my desktop background but the problem being is that the options given either make the picture too big(fill screen) or center(too small). While in iPhoto you can stretch the picture which I have done and it makes it the perfect size, my question is how do I save the picture in this size so I then can use the center option in desktop options. Any help gratefully appreciated. Thankyou.

You would need to create a copy (export the photo to the required size) and then add that copy to your iPhoto library.

in iphoto just use the constrain tool bottom left (once you've doubled click on the pic) select the size say - 1440x900. press enter/return and save

you can now put it as ur background the correct size.
