Talked to my parents today and they said "no way" when I asked them for a new iPod Nano for my birthday. I'll have to settle with a 1Gb stick of ram for my birthday instead.

I will probably just order the ram straight from Apple since the parents are buying it and it will be a lot less likely that I'll have "hiccups" whenever I get it installed.

I thought 1gb from apple was $300? they would be better of buying you a nano for $250 or less depending on what nano you want.

Well, I was going to go to a wedding. I got all dolled up but I started feeling under the weather so I didn't go. I'm happy sitting here in front of Macky :)

300 for a stick of ram from Apple? Well I'll surely check the prices before I order it.

it looks like i was wrong. its $150-$175. apple ram is always over priced.

you could almost buy 2 gigs of memory through newegg for $175

I'm thinking of upgrading my ram to 1G. I do okay with the standard 512mb but I have a feeling with 1gb I'd be much happier.

I doubled the RAM in my iBook up to 1.5GB and lost performance. :(

I am the same way, but sometimes when I'm working with Photoshop, listening to iTunes, surfing the internet, and chatting through Adium, every once in a while i'll get the "beach ball" cursor. I have a feeling 1Gb of ram will fix that quite nicely.

Yea I didn't realize Apple overpriced that much, I have just been seeing horror stories around here lately saying that non-Apple ram can sometimes not work, I just don't want to have to deal with the hassle of sending ram back.
