Ugh.

MacRumors handled the upgrade to 3.6 very well. Mac-Forums did not. I think the avatars, they need fixing...

I tried to upload this avatar, and it simply didnt work! It's soo annoying! I can't upload an animated avatar! Is this some benifit of being a moderator?

Sounds like it may just be the personal preferences of the Admins at work on that one.

They have the animated Avatars turned off here -- I guess. (It is a Vb option for the Admins).

I had this Avatar from long before the switch to 3.6 which is the only reason I still have an animated av. If i tried to upload a new one I would get the same error message you are getting

It's funny you mentioned that, because I left because I had the exact same experience. I got a nice welcome here and people are much more decent. Thank you!

Maybe it's just me, but they got extremely mad because I changed the desktop on some Vista computers in Circuit City to a funny anti-Vista thing.

Wait, members of a Mac forum became upset because you "defaced" some Vista machines in a store?

Essentially yes. They said it set the maturity of the Mac community back another good 10-15 years. I am sure that it has happened before, and will happen again. Too, I am positive that one incident will get the entire nation flaming. [rolling eyes]
Anyway, out with the old, in with the new. This site is the new, and seems 200% better and more welcoming than the other one. Thanks people!

Actually, I have an M$ trackball mouse that I am using right now and I LOVE the thing. It's better than any other trackball mouse I've tried. They can do SOME things right.
