Howdy, MAC sportsfans. heard a 'lil rumor on the forum rumor mill that y'all might be interested in. I heard that this site is owned and operated by the government of the Peoples Republic of China.

Is the rumor true? Is this a Wally-world forum?

the moderators?...I'm guessing it's independent..kind of...just mac users and lovers....am I right on that? It's just my assumption from being here.

The site is run by Emrys....he has been busy for a while so hasn't posted much.

actually if you look at the top of the page you will see an inet interactive banner.. that's who owns this site, Emrys is the main administrator and the rest of us moderators are all just mac users who enjoy helping people

That's a bit of a generalization, no? How would you know that? Well I sure don't dislike PC users, a few are friends of mine. There's nothing wrong with their PC's, it's that awful os they seem to be stuck with. Easy fix though: install Linux

What we dislike are those that spam the boards with cursing and plain beligerant posts, those are the people that do not belong on these boards and we will take action against them. You have been warned, and you have been banned, if you keep creating new accounts we will ban your IP and if you still find a way in here, we have your IP, we have your information, we will report you to your ISP. Now is your cursing, etc really worth all that trouble? Go live your life in peace so that we may live ours the same.

Yeah, I knew from looking at old posts that Emrys originally ran the site, but what I thought happened is that he actually gave the entire forum to the mod of the Mac OS X Development Forum (Graphite), as he seems to be the one who creates all the new topics and manages the forum nowadays! But, I guess Emrys is still the admin. I just haven't seen him post in months. I know you say he's busy, but he's the admin of this forum which has 36,000+ posts! I would've thought he would have at least a little time to post.

Back in the old days, Emrys ruled all. He was helpful and always there. Now, he's gone.

Well, to squelch all your questions about the Admin. We have a very good admin who has been doing quite well at replacing Emrys. And for a little insight in the mod world, we try to be as democratic as possible.

Emrys on the other hand, is incredibly busy at home. He has a few side projects, os-forums which has also not seen any activity in forever, from him or else. I see him on AIM from time to time and we have a little chatter... though if hes reading this.. im sure hes just playing his Xbox lazy son of a 8!+ch. The work of a MOD let alone Admin, is never done and is very time consuming.
