Windows not working right

Hi, Can anyone help. I have just installed XP on my Mac Book pro with Bootcamp. I have tried Premiere which jitters when playing film and won't import without dropped frames. Now I have just tried Cubase and that also jitters when playing back the created music track.
Any ideas please?
