Hi all,

Does anyone have any ideas how to shrink the file sizes of images in iweb? I have a page which is just one picture and some text and it's over 500kb in size!! I pitty those people I know who are still on dial up.

Is there any way of shrinking these files? If not in iweb then maybe in photoshop?

All the best

Yes.

Look in your User folder's Library. Library>Application Support>iWeb>Domain. Right-click on this "Domain" file and find the image you want to edit.

Import it into Photoshop, then File > Save for Web.

On the lower left hand side of the window you'll see the file size, change the settings on the right side of the window until you get it down to a manageable file size. *Make sure you use the same file-type* You could change the filetype, but you would have to go into the iWeb generated forest of code and find every reference to it and change it to the new file-type.
