scaning photos?

i have a mac mini and an hp all in one printer model 1310 and need to know how to scan photos into to the mac? is there something like in windows were u just go to the my computer and it is there and u follow the steps.

There should be some software that came with the printer/all in one that will let you scan the photos in.

I have an HP F340 all-in-one and a Quicksilver Mac and am running 10.3.9. I just use the HP Device Manager (which HP placed into the dock). Click it once and then you choose between Scanning, Copying or Scanning into OCR. The first time you let it know where you want the pictures to download to. I chose to have them sent to the HP Photosmart Studio, but you can choose anything/place.
