avi to movie dvd

i have an avi movie that i want to make into a dvd so i can watch it on my tv.

how do i do that?

There's a couple of ways. The big, complex way is to install Perian codecs or iDVD and make a DVD with that.

The rather simpler way is to grab BurnOSX and use the 'Video' tab. Set it to DVD, drag your AVI in, burn the disk. Sorted

just use toast. drag your avi file to the dvd area and burn. Also you might want to buy a dvd player so you can burn a divx movie onto regular cdr and have decent quality.
