I don't know what I did, but now there is an American flag on the upper menu bar. It is rally not a big deal other than it was not there this morning. I am sure I launced an app or did something to make this happen, but I'd like to remove it because it is annoying and doersn't fit with any scheme I have working.

Any thoughts?

Go to System Preferences > International > Input Menu Tab > Check off the little box at the bottom saying "Show input menu in menu bar".

Apple needs to support multilinguality better. I need to be able to switch easily from German to English, it's a pain to keep going into my Pages document settings to switch the language. And then, in Mail, my entire message is nicely underlined red. Gah.
