ok guys, i really have nothing to show you right now but this weekend i'll be getting my MBP airbrushed by a guy who paints exotic cars for a living.

Has anyone else done any aftermarket paintjobs on thier lappys? post some pics if you have....

On monday when i get my parts back i'll post pics.

To do this i need to completely disassemble my lappy and give my buddy the individual case pieces so i called Apple to verify that i wont bung up my warranty doing this and they guy basically said "your free to open your MBP to any degree you wish but if its damaged as a result of your work it is not under warranty"

so if you mess it up, you're on your own and i agree with that policy.

you've got to be kidding me... $450 to paint a solid colour!?!?! crazyness. I'm getting a custom design airbrushed on for 100$ cash.

you could probably pay an artist to do it (see: craigslist "wanted" section) and get a custom design. Just make sure they know what they're doing. it needs to be sealed properly or your palm sweat would rub it off....that is, if your going to paint that section along with the lid
