Switcher with pics!

Back in September I purchased my first Apple computer.
A 24" iMac: 2.16Ghz C2D 1 gig of RAM and a 7300GT 128mb video card.



Then I had the need for mobility and picked up a New MacBook Pro:

2.33Ghz C2D, 2 gigs of RAM, X1600 Ati 256mb video card.

The desktop seems fine, but it looks like the laptop has a Windows virus.

A close friends Wife got an MBP and said she would only use Windows for a very few little Font apps she has to use on her business. One day she cried how she had Virus's all over the Windows side of her Mac. We found out she was doing a lot on the windows side, stuff she should have been doing on OSX! I told her, you bought a Mac to use OSX, so use it and use XP only for the few programs she installed it for! That is why Parallels is so nice as you can be in OSX all the time and use your occasional Windows app right there in OSX.

I saw a nice looking bottle of red wine behind the MacBook Pro! Perhaps you spend some money on wine too!? I like your tastes! All the good things in life, with just ONE exception...

HAHA, yeah wine is good. You must have missed the coke bottle right behind it!

I had a little MacBook Pro box opening party, like any self respecting geek would!

Nice pics I can't wait to get my OS X ..((getting it saturday!!))..You're so lucky to have a laptop...thats the next thing on my list

Yeah...the sad part is, one of the main reasons I bought the notebook is I was tired of wanting to do/show something with my Mac, I always remembered that it was at home on my desk. I even at one time packed up my iMac and brought it with me on a trip.....you know even as big as that thing is....i remember how much more of a pain packing up my PC was with all the seperate cords and Boxes and junk. Now its one wire (power cable), wireless keyboard and mouse, and the iMac....all fits in its own box and "easy" to carry... Still. MBP does travels just a little bit better.

i'm going to be honest. i'm really impressed with the simplicity and cleanliness of your desk.

EDIT: jeez. i keep coming back and looking at that desk. i wish mine was that clean. mine is always littered with empty beer cans and wine bottles and textbook and class notes and empty bags of doritos. i hate college.

Zowie! that is a computer lab, not a room! Is that Linux running on those computers in the back (with the cow-looking background)?
