If it's any help I use their skins on my iPod, my daughters Nano, my fathers Nano and know a few other very happy customers.
I don't know anyone who's used it on the macbook but I wouldn't have any concerns about it - they are excellent, very strong, very easy to fit without bubbles appearing and after almost 6 months of daily usage by iPod is still lookin' good
what do you mean by they dont look like much?
Was the application easy?
Does it stay on properly or do he corners lift?
If any did lift did it leave gooy residue?
Thanks for the link it is 1/2 the price of sheild zone!
Somewhat difficult to apply, but can even resist your keys scratching on it (I've tried!). The full skin kit for a 13" MacBook is $55 and is worth every penny.

By not looking like much I mean I'd have thought such a thin skin wouldn't offer any protection and would tear easily but it's the opposite.
Application is very easy - I've done 2 nanos and my iPod and no problems - basically you peel the skin off the backing, dip it into a soapy water mix, let the excess water run off then smooth it onto the surface. When you're happy with the position you squeege out the air bubbles with a credit card and leave it to dry. Any small bubbles disappear over the next day or so.
It stays on perfectly and the corners don't lift so I can't tell you about a gooey residue but I guess that's a good thing in a way!
I haven't tried Shield Zone but found people on iLounge saying how good the BestSkinsEver was and that made me try one out.
