• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

convert 3gp and avi files to mp4

Hi,

I am trying to find a program that allows me to convert video clips that are in formats avi and 3gp to the format that PSP needs in order for the clips to play in the PSP. I am not sure what applications are available for me to use to convert the files. I believe my PSP can only play MP4 files. (unless there is a setting that I have to set to play other formats, except for WMA which I don't have any of.)

Thanks.

Thanks. I was just downloading that application but it never finished. So maybe there is something wrong with their server or my internet connection. I will try again later.

Results:

1. I tried converting a 15MB AVI file and the conversion stopped at 50%.
2. I tried converting a 584KB 3gp file and the conversion would not start.

For both times I tried to stop and re-try, but everytime I click "Stop" the converter freezes, and I would have to force quit out of it.

Do you have another suggestion?

I used it for years, it's perfect and free. If you can afford to donate, you really should.
