Transfer Pics from Picasa on Old PC to Iphoto

I have all my pics on Picasa on my old PC. I want to get them placed on my Iphoto on my new Macbook Pro. Any ideas on the best way to do it? Everything I read is how to get pics from Iphoto to Picasa, but not the other way around.
I could download Picasa on my new computer, but wanted to limit loading a lot of duplicate applications.

I pulled all of my pics off of Picasa on my Pc to the iMac just about a week ago. No problems other than out of 4k pictures, there were about 30 Picasa edits that wouldn't transfer. But since I had all the originals still there were no probs. I transferred them over using my external HD.
