The screen shots that I take using command +shift+4 are being rotated and get put into a "rotated images" folder. It is annoying rotating them, so I was wondering how to fix it so they dont automatically rotate.

what automatically rotates them? There aren't really proper preferences in the Grab app, so I can't determine what's doing them and why - even why it's putting them in a folder for you. By default, snaps go to the desktop. I've never had any snapshots rotated...

that's a very strange problem. Do screenshots taken with apple+shift+3 work OK? Perhaps try using the Grab app (under utilities in the apps folder) and see if that makes any difference.

It sounds like you have folder actions set up to automatically rotate your images and the screenshots are being saved by default.

Check to see if folder actions are on and turn them off if necessary.
Right click the folder and select 'configure folder actions'.

Yes! That works, thank you!
