• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Greetings
I want to produce a film to go onto DVD to send to relatives. What I want on screen would be a menu which would then show one of, say, four different movies that I've cobbled together. So, not chapters of the same film, if you follow. How do I go about this, please? Obviously, at the end of editing it in iMovie, I can share with iDVD, but this sets up a new DVD - or am I getting confused? Do I save it to Desktop and then somehow ship each one in turn into iDVD? Also, if I want narration, is it simpler to record this with GarageBand and then add it to iMovie or iDVD? Questions Questions... GarageBand seems to offer a bit more flexibility when recording sound and I would prefer to use it for the purpose if it is feasible. If it makes sense to do it this way, how do I go about it, please. Final thought, I don't particularly want suggestions like 'Download XYZ prog.....', I' d just like to use iLife 06 which is installed on my iMac. Thanks Mitcherooney.

From iMovie export each video as a quicktime movie. Then fire up iDVD. Then you import each of the movie you created. You will have an item for each movie you import.
