Hello there,

I need a good software that works on Mac to create subtitles. I'm not a pro, but I'd like to have built-in time code and also be easy-to-use both for translators and for editors.

What's the easiest option apart from Avid or Final cut?

Your Mac's Specs
Mac Pro 8x3.0ghz 12gb ram 8800GT , MBP 2.16 2GB Ram 17 inch.
There is only one cheap option on the mac that will allow you to create sub titles that are able to be turned on and off on a dvd player and that is DVD studio pro, neither avid, final cut, or anything cheaper then dvd studio pro will allow you to do it.
