• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Basically it goes like this...

I love editing video but I currently have nothing to edit (and not photos to play around with in Aperture) :( So the idea is to come up with something for me to do with with the equipment in my times of having nothing to do. Requirements are as follows:

  • Can only use one camera
  • I have to be able to do it alone
  • I don't really want to have to go anywhere far

Other than that anything's good so lay your creative juices down on the page.

1.Grab a favorite piece of music and try to create a video to it using nothing but the objects in your house and lighting effects.

2.Create a mac-forums.com promotional video using clamation figures.

3. Use your digital still camera to make a movie comprised of individual pictures (sort of like stop motion, but more like the smashing pumpkins 33 video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG9cqjOUoLU )

all you need is bright green felt to make a green screen - you put it on the wall as a backdrop then shoot in front of it. All you have to do then is chroma key it into your program. I've done it a few times for school ;)
