Hey guys,

Just got the new macbook pro 2 and am wondering how to transfer my files across from the old powerbook. I have already got my Applications across with holding down the "T" on my old one while powering it up. It did not give me any options to pull my files across.

Is there a way where I can pull the desired files across?

Thanks for any help.
Regards,
Bigbatman

You can use the Migration Assistant on the Utilities folder. It is pretty easy to use tool. (/Applications / Utilities /Migration Assistant.app)

If you have both Macs on a network, you could connect to the old PowerBook and log on as your old username and password and pull the files across over the network, though that would be much slower than using FireWire or even a USB storage device.
