I downloaded a language audio file. My computer recognizes it as a music file (iTunes opens when I double-click), but it won't play. It's a .daa file and I can't play it, or import it, or drag and drop it to my playlist. NADA!!

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You have downloaded a type of disk image file. The *.daa extension would probably need to be mounted on the desktop first, using something like Disk Utility or Toast, then you would be able to see what is inside the disk image.
