quicktime issue

got a quicktime I made, played fine uptill a few days ago. Somehow the file extention shows up at mov, but OSX sees it as a MooV file, and I dont know of a way to change this...any suggestions?

.MooV is the native QuickTime format.

You say you created this file using QuickTime....then by all rights it should have the .moov extension and play in QuickTime without any problems.

Could you explain a little bit more about how this file has both a .mov and a .moov file extension?

the file shows an extention of .mov

but in finder, it shows a kind of MooV rather than Quicktime Movie
nothing on the system will play it, iMovie, QT, Shake, nothing can load it.
