EDIT: Oh no, whooops, this was my first post, and, it seems i posted it in the wrong forum :dummy:

Okay, when I first got my mac (ibook G4) I installed the Sims2. Then the next time I played it it said I needed more disk space. Me, being 12 at the time, went around deleting files :dummy: I must have deleted iPhoto, but i have a package installer called iPhoto.pkg. I opened it up, went through the steps and in the middle of it installing i got this message:

Then this:

So, has any one have this problem? If so, do you know what to do about it? Or does any one have any suggestions? Pictures will help me, I've only been using a mac for 1 year.

The .pkg file was a receipt. That file was just there to show that you had installed iPhoto orignally. You will need to use the restore discs that came with your computer to reinstall iPhoto (Or an iLife DVD if you purchased it separately)

The restore discs would look something like these but might be 1 disc and would have your system name on it

Apple won't do anything for you if you lost the DVD/CD (i forget which the iBook came with).

You would have to purchase iLife 06' (or wait for 07 which should be out in January)

Apple can't just give out cd's everytime somebody loses it. It's not their responsibility to make sure you get something that you lose

06' is available now. 07' hasn't been announced yet but if Apple follows what they have done in the past it will be out in the first 2-3 weeks of January

Get in touch will apple anyway, they probably won't replace your system discs for free, but they might be able to get you a new set for a service fee.
